You know the party is over when.......

.........The last vestiges of your party weekend disappear. This week the black and gold Gatsby nails were painted over.

Sarah and I went to TruBeauty nail bar on Wednesday to buff and polish away my glamorous party nails.

So I am all set to continue with my Jungalow life until the next big event comes along, which requires specialised nail art haha.

Each year on our birthdays Sarah, Sue and I treat the others respectively to a birthday breakfast. So in February, I took Sarah and Sue out but unfortunately, when April and my birthday came around, Sue was stuck in Dubai because of the flooded airport. But this Wednesday, Sue took me to the Juniper Tree for my belated birthday breakfast. Sue had bacon, mushroom and poached eggs on a muffin and I had potato roshti spinach and poached eggs. I have to say they were delicious and the coffee was hot.

Here is one of my lovely birthday gifts, which, a group of my closest friends arranged for me. It is literally the gift that keeps on giving. So here is the first bouquet of flowers from Nattarasses which was delivered on Monday, it forms the first of four delivery dates throughout the year, culminating on my birthday next year when these stunning bouquets will be delivered to me. I absolutely adore fresh flowers and this gift is just perfect, so thank you very much to the group of friends who organised it as a birthday treat.

On Friday I attended the funeral of my Auntie Sylvia. She was my mother's remaining sister. A sad time to be sure, particularly as Sue and I had not been able to personally say goodbye to her, whilst she was in hospital. So, night night Auntie love you loads xxxxx

Finally this week my garden is looking very cottagey, with lots of bluebells, and forget-me-nots and this week the wisteria has bloomed in abundance. It is a pleasure to be in the garden at the moment as there is so much life and growth going on.

Now for all of you who think that I am a Geordie (I am not by the way - South Durham and proud) here is a fun item which may help you if you indeed encounter a full-blown Geordie on your travels haha.

This week's Teaser can you find the bird which escaped from its cage?
