Last night I was defo a night owl. I went to bed around 12.30 and was still wide awake at 3 this morning, at which point I got up and made myself a cuppa and a slice of toast. Then I flicked the TV on in the bedroom and flicked through channels until 4 o'clock at which point I turned everything off and tried to get over to sleep. It clearly worked as the next time I opened my eyes it was five past 10, so time to get up haha.
Today I have been trying to set up a direct debit for my new TV. That doesn't seem like much of a challenge you may assume - WRONG!!!!!
Having decided to take up their offer of interest-free I rang the number which was provided along with my account number and was connected to a robot. So several yes or no answers later we got to the part about setting up the direct debit and this is where things started to go a rye.
Imputing my account number and sort code - no problem. Putting in the amount of each monthly payment was horrendous. Every time I told her the amount she repeated it back to me with a different amount then asked if that was correct. In the end, I decided that I would enter the amount on the phone keypad and eventually it was sorted. But now I am sitting with a definitely battered head.
Well, today I had another full house of children and grandchildren. Ben, Dominic and Robyn arrived so that he could complete the installation next door at the neighbours and then Sarah arrived with 1 of my grandsons Harry to firm up an application form she was making for a new job and need a word programme. Whilst my children went about their business, calmly and serenely their children went about destroying the calm in the Jngalow and messing up my kitchen. Harry decided that he would cook the other 2 BBQ super noodles. Robyn wanted fried eggs, they all ate several bags of crisps each. So by the time they went home I was losing the will to live and facing the prospect of tidying up every room in the Jungaow except my bedroom haha. But you got to love them right?????
Mum and I are having chicken legs and chips for our tea, so they are currently cooking. I will be collecting her around 5 o'clock to bring her here then back to her house at 7 for cards.
I have also been sourcing a salon that will apply some individual eyelashes as I am in the unfortunate position of not having many lashes. I have a couple of events coming up and would have liked them sorted. So the wedding eyelashes are sourced and sorted - thank you, Hobson and Holmes, not as dramatic as the ones opposite though but the night on the town lashes are proving less successful. In the end, I have decided to purchase some lashes which Sarah will apply for me on the night we all go out.
