Where has the time gone

Today has been one of mixed emotions, as you may or may not know I lost Dave 3 years ago today. It was always going to be a strange and emotional day from the get-go, but on the whole, it has been fine.

So this morning after the school run I went and visited the cemetery for a chat and to clean up his gaff. Over the months it has got very grubby. You can imagine I had a lot to fill him in on haha. Particularly about the fact that for most of last year and this there have been no pubs. He would have hated that.

It is surprising to me that we are already 3 years out from that day in June 2018. You have to ask yourself where that time has gone. But also it's sobering to realise just how much he has actually missed and will miss in the future. I think that upsets me the most the fact that he went relatively young. Anyway, sleep on my darling I will always love you.

I had a nice visit from my son Ben his morning, he came to keep his old mum, company and to be there if needed, thank you for that son.

Another visitor this morning was this young lady. It was great to see Rita in the flesh again and not digitally lol. She brought me a lovely little plant and we shared a drink sitting in the garden in the brilliant sunshine. Whilst having our drink we put the world to rights as you do. It was a really nice slice of normal.

Now as you may recall the blind fitter (not literally haha) was supposed to fit the blinds on Friday but didn't show, well today he turned up and installed the final kitchen jigsaw piece. I think they look great and just the thing to cool the diners sitting in the window.
