What a treat.....

This morning was a rare treat for me as I got to go shopping on my own.

The mother unit didn't accompany me as on Monday she is about to go away for a 5-day holiday with her 93-year-old boyfriend George, so doesn't need any groceries.

The fact that he hasn't told her where she is going and staying doesn't seem to worry mum.

However, Sue and I have told her that unless she can tell us where she is going and staying we are not happy that she will be leaving on Monday morning without these essential pieces of information in place.

All we know and mam for that matter is that it is either a National Coach Holiday or a Shearings Coach Holiday going to either Cornwall or Devon. If the information is not forthcoming soon I will be ringing George to ask him to find out.

So whilst out shopping I went a bit mad and ended up visiting 5 shops haha. It was great to be able to whizz around the shops selling food and then take my time in the shops selling other goods.

By 11.30 I was on my way home with, 2 new mirrors for my new entertaining space, 3 pairs of jeans, a top, a pair of lilac shorts for my holidays, a new novel to take with me and a selection of sun creams and lotions haha. Of course, I did also buy food.

My Friday has therefore been a little tedious, with nothing of any real substance to report. However, tonight the finale of Stranger Things airs and I will be glued in front of the TV for the 2-hour show. Of course, I will be knitting as well, as Sarah has used up her hand-knitted dish clothes and has requested new ones haha.
