What a day....

What a day I have put in.

To be quite honest I have had enough Governorship work to last me a good few months, having had governor commitments for two schools every day of this week so far.

Today's school visit started at 9.45 this morning and finished at 2.45.

This morning we had sessions and presentations from teachers on topics that were raised in our recent Ofsted, a bit heavy going, I have to say. Then we had a break for lunch.

The school provided a lovely buffet lunch for us and it was nice to relax and just socialise for 30 minutes.

This afternoon we were observing phonics being taught in the key stage one classes, impressive, then we went and watched several lessons in the senior school, including their newly introduced accelerated reading programme. So even though it was a heavy full day it was very informative.

I will be glad that I can do something relatively normal tomorrow when I take the mother unit out shopping haha, I never thought I would admit to wanting to go food shopping with mam.

In a little while, I will be taking Harry to his basketball session, then on to Sarah's for my tea.

Last night I filled my new dishwasher and switched it on. After whirring and chugging for a few minutes it went quiet. When I opened it, the pots were still dirty and nothing had happened. I re-read the starting instruction and started again, this time I put it on prior to going to bed.

This morning I found that the same thing had happened and the pots were still dirty. I was about to phone and complain when I had an epiphany, perhaps when Ben had disconnected the old dishwasher last night he had turned off the water supply, so, I think you know where this is going, and yes once I gave the dishwasher some water with which to wash the dishes all was fine. I placed the old dishwasher on Facebook Market place and I have to report that it is now sold and being picked up tonight.
