WHAAAAT!!!!!!!!!

Exactly, what indeed. I was crowing yesterday about this forthcoming week of no alarms, as the grandchildren were on half term, well, this morning I woke up myself at 7.30 no alarm, what is that all about? so my supposed lie in didn't materialise.

I forced myself to make a cup of tea then returned to bed to watch the BBC news finally getting up at 9.00. I felt a little better having not been out and about early doors but would have preferred to be sleeping haha.

So this morning I have done some washing, actually venturing outside to put them on the line with triple peggage to stop my clothes from finding their way into neighbours gardens as Storm Franklin is starting to show his ugly head. I walked to the next street to post a birthday card and completed my correspondence from incoming emails.

Sarah has asked me to tutor Harry to prepare him for his yr6 Sat's in May. I have no problem in doing this but I suspect the problem will come from Harry not wanting to do it. Well, we will soon see as his mum and I have pencilled in two one hour sessions over the next two days haha. To that end, I have been researching and downloading past test papers, particularly in Maths, which is Harrys weakest subject for us to work through together. Now I am the first to admit that Maths is not one of my strong suites so it may help me also haha. I also found a site that offered 2022 sats practice papers in all the areas he will need Maths, English and Spelling so I got those as well.

The mother unit is a card and a law unto herself, for those who have met her they will readily agree. She is also nearly blind. The other day she asked me to remove some button adornments from a jumper she had bough. I agreed to do the job but forgot to pick up said jumper. On Saturday when I visited her she handed me the jumper, saying that she had tried to remove the buttons herself. On investigation I found large holes cut into the shoulders where the buttons had been. I told her off and now have a job three times worse to repair the damage she did because she couldn't wait, arrrggghhh.

Well, we are nearing the birthday celebrations and at the end of this week, the first of the out of town guests will start to arrive. So I guess this week will be getting things ready for the visit of my Auntie Alice from London.
