Last Sunday instead of going to my sister's for Sunday Lunch we decided to go to the George and Dragon in Heighington.
The reason for the break from the norm was that my nephew-in-law was returning to Thailand the following day and wanted to buy us our Sunday lunch to thank us for feeding him over the last 3 months.
However, as Sarah and Lee had travelled to London to see Peter Kaye at the O2 the day before, I had the two boys in tow, haha.
I know from their faces that they don't look happy to be there, but they were and those faces were in response to Nana AKA me taking copious photos as is my want haha.
It was that time of year again on Monday as Rita and I met up in MJ's Cake Cafe in Middleton-St-George to carry out our debrief from the Christmas Gang Do we had organised at Ruebens in Leeming Bar.
So over a delicious breakfast, we discussed what had worked and what needed shelving for this coming year.
Rita wants to step back from the organising for this coming Christmas so I was trying to get as much info from her as possible, as typically she is the super organised one out of the two of us. But if I have to, I will do it on my own. But she is determined to hand over the glittery notebook, so you never know.
On Tuesday it was Jonicas 70th birthday so ten of us hot-footed it to The Spotted Dog to make use of their private dining space. It was a lovely location and the food was really nice. We were all super impressed that Jonica kept awake, not because she was 70, oh no, but because she had only returned from holiday in New Zealand the day before haha. I had organised a special dessert plate for her which was presented at the end of the meal.
Moving on to Thursday now, which was super busy. The day began with the inaugural u3a craft class in the meeting rooms above the Newcastle Building Society in the Market Square. I introduced the ladies to 5D diamond painting and they all made coasters. The whole session went off swimmingly and was enjoyed by all.
Straight onto Thursday afternoon when I travelled up to Mini Vertu garage in Preston Farm with Sarah to swap my Ford Puma for a brand spanking new Mini. To say I am in love is an understatement haha.
Following on from what your toes are saying about you. Take a look at what your ring finger is suggesting haha.
