I don't know if the blog came out properly last week as there have not been many take-ups for reading it. I may have put it in the My Garden section by mistake. It is still there if you would like to know what I did over Christmas and is called Merry Christmas Everyone....
Between Christmas and New Year I hosted my first solo gang do at the Sidings in York. It is a converted Railway station with five pulman carriages which have been converted into a restaurant and bedrooms. To say it is quirky is rather an understatement haha. Nevertheless, we had a great night with brilliant food and lots of chatting and catching up with a liberal sprinkling of party games haha.
Breakfast the following morning was served in a beautiful original Pullman carriage. As you can see from the selection of foody shots the meals were great.
After checking out of the Sidings some of us travelled into York via the Park and Ride option and Val and I took the Chocolate Story tour before enjoying a fab pub Roast Sunday dinner in a pub in Petergate.
Fast forward a few days to New Year's Eve which I celebrated at Sarah's. I bailed at 2.30 but they soldiered on until 5.30 New Year's Day. Later on New Year's Day, Sarah cooked an amazing Roast Dinner for us.
And then it snowed this week. Luckily it only lasted one day and is pretty much gone now haha, but it was enough to keep me indoors taking down Christmas decorations which in turn drove the Blog out of my mind, hence it is well late sorry folks
