Trying to adjust......

Being back from my two very different holidays has meant that I am finding it difficult to settle back down into a routine.

It doesn't help that my diary for this week is unusually empty.

I have been looking after Frank a good few days this week and on Thursday morning I actually harnessed him up and took him out for a walk around the big block.

I suppose it could be the start of my training for my next proposed holiday at the end of next year.

I have not decided that I will do it yet as it will require me to do a lot of walking, hence the training haha. But as I haven't booked anything yet I will keep the destination under my hat for the moment. Suffice it to say, if I do go, it will be a massive tick off my bucket list and involve many hours of air travel, so watch this space.

Over this week Robyn, my youngest grandchild, has been attending her first football camp. She joined Darlington Loco's a couple of months ago. Although I have not seen her this week as Ben drops her off early doors before coming to me, on Thursday, I was asked to go and pick her up at the end of the day, as he was still on route from a job and wouldn't get back in time.

Talk about a blast from the past, I don't know about you but after I move house I rarely venture back down that street, especially if it is tucked away off the main drag.

Well, Robyn's training ground was on the site of my old Girls Secondary School long since demolished and replaced with a brand spanking new housing estate.

The Fairway, where Dave and I had our very first house has changed greatly although our first house doesn't look much different. What had changed was the entrance to the road I lived on as a child, I drove straight past it not even noticing it had been relegated to a small offshoot with the new development.

After picking Robyn up I took the opportunity to have a mini tour of my stamping ground from my younger days to show Robyn my Primary school and the house I used to live in. Everything seemed so small I have to say.

Since being away on holiday my garden has decided to revert to the bungalow's adopted name, oh yes, my beautiful trim garden is indeed now looking like a Jungle. As my gardener has got himself into a pickle with the dates and actually turned up to garden when I was away (SHAKES HEAD IN DISBELIEF) I am having to tackle the overgrowth myself (shocking I know - right) so here is the unruly garden on Friday morning.

And here it is after many hours of slog.

This week's Rebus for you to solve. Three words or phrases to find.

Last week's solution did you get them all?
