I am absolutely sure that both my children think this meme is true haha.
Well, last night Sarah must have thought it. They were spending the night in Newcastle celebrating a friends 50th Birthday and I was looking after the Cockburn pile, the grandsons and the dog. Get my drift so far. Well as they say all plans have a 50% chance of going pear-shaped.
Well, I am here to tell you I was on the wrong side of 50% last night.
I attended Kayes celebration wake and then waited at home for the boys to be delivered by Lees brother after having a treat meal out in the town. I packed an overnight bag and then the boys and I set off down to Sarah's. when we got there I realised I had not brought the house key so we all piled back in the car and went back to the Jungalow. Key secured we returned to Sarahs. By this time the dog was going crazy on the other side of the door. I gave Harry the key and duly unloaded my overnight bag.
Harry then informed me that mummy and daddy had changed the locks when they got the new security cameras in so the key I had would not fit.
A quick call to Sarah to inform her and the realisation that the dog was locked indoors with no food and no way of getting a rest break. Here Is where the meme comes in Sarah suggested I drive myself and the boys up to Newcastle to fetch a key. To which I said a resounding no!!!! So long story short I took the boys home to sleep at the Jungalow and the poor dog had to fend for himself until Sarah and Lee returned this morning. As it happened the dog was really good and everything is now back to normal.
Well, today is the first day of the mother units holiday and our respite break so Sue Jeff and I are going out for Sunday Lunch at the Copper Beach pub courtesy of the mother unit, thank you, mum.
As the craft fayre is fast approaching as well as the first wreath making masterclass I will be spending the rest of today and this week finishing off preparation for both events.
