After the debacle of the smokey Kamodo BBQ on Saturday night, I have had to have a serious rethink as to the storage of said Kamodo and the positioning for future BBQs.
With that in mind, I have purchased a wheelie bin storage cupboard for it. It will live in there whilst not in use and not in the She Shed.
When it is required for a BBQ it will then be easily wheeled out over the yard and positioned on solid ground.
On Saturday the Kamodo had to be physically moved by 3 of my guests to stop the smoke from going into the she shed and choking everyone. All that went well but left me with the huge task yesterday of moving said BBQ across the gravelled area, which let me add was impossible on my own. I even tried scooping out the gravel from its path and trying to drag it over a large piece of cardboard. In the end, I just had to wrap it up and leave it to the torrential rainfall we had last night. Ben came today to fix my computer and I enlisted him to help me move the Kamodo into the yard. He agreed that the new plan for the BBQ going forward was the best option.
Now something a little more serious. The mother unit has had a fall in the garden whilst hanging out the clothes, she is ok thank goodness, but it could have been a lot worse. The thing is she has a helpline necklace but wasn't wearing it. The upshot was that it took her over one hour to get herself up off the floor and 4 attempts. But worryingly she was on her own and with no passers-by to help out. I did tell her off but tried to be understanding as well as I figured she had suffered enough, I think she had frightened herself and resolved not to go in the garden again without her necklace on.
Today I am pleased to announce that I have self-published my new novel. It will be a couple of days before it is available on Amazon but I will keep you posted.
