So this morning I was up bright and early and out of the door heading for my hairdresser by 8.45.
My do was in desperate need of a colour makeover and the fuzzy ends cutting off. I want to look my best for the mother units send off so with that in mind my lovely hairdresser has agreed to come in on her day off to wash and blow-dry my hair, thank you for that Mandy.
My desire to go grey is getting easier with each visit, as my natural salt and paper colour grows out and the colour which I have had over the years is finally reaching the tips and is systematically being trimmed away.
This afternoon I noticed that my lawn has yet again sprouted loads of mushrooms. It did the same last year around this time but the mushrooms this year are different. I am again steering clear of them don't want to make myself ill haha.
My cousin Linda texted me the other day that she had found some old photographs of mum and her sisters and she sent them to me today.
The first picture is my mum and auntie Joyce, 2nd picture is my mum and dad and the last picture is me with my cousin and sisters in Blackpool I think I must have been about 11 or 12. In case you haven't clocked me I am on the far left near the bus haha.
A couple of days ago Sarah gave me a bag of cooking apples which had been brought into her workplace by her boss.
Sarah couldn't be bothered to do anything with them so I set to work this afternoon, making baby apple sauce. 6 Bags ready for the freezer later I was done haha.
I have no idea why I call it baby apple sauce, probably saw it in an American film haha.
Today has been another one of sorting and finding documents that would allow us to stop payments and direct debits being taken or received. It is defo a big job but we are hopeful that the solicitor can take some of the burdens from us when we visit on Monday.
Now my hall and staircase are very dark, even when the sun is shining, so I had the bright idea of taking down a wall at the top of the stairs, which would open up the big storage cupboard behind which has a Velux window in it, thus flooding the stairs and hall with light. Great plan so far yes? Well, my trusty little joiner came today to measure up and give me a price. He also thought it was a great idea and agreed it would be a reasonably easy job. However, the massive, nay whopping fly, flew into the ointment when he realised that the quarter turn on the top of the stairs was an insurmountable obstacle to my dream of a light-filled hall. So in one moment, my idea was dashed and I will have to try and think of another way to do it.
