Very sad news this morning about the Duke of Edinburgh. He will be greatly missed. But of course, he has been ill for a long time and spent many weeks in hospital. Let's just hope they don't blame it on the Coronavirus, as they seem to blame every death on that at the moment. I was wondering how Harry was feeling as he had alienated himself from the family and would normally be at his bedside. Typical news channels though dragging everyone with a royal connection out of the woodwork to fill the screens with much of the same stuff. Of course, the big question will be the funeral. They cant change the rules for the duke, to have a state funeral, so maybe they will have a procession and a private funeral at Windsor and then a state memorial next year, tricky one.
I needed to knit myself a dishcloth as my other one had gone to the great washing up bowl in the sky. Normally I would buy small balls of wool which would knit maybe two dishcloths, they usually cost £4.20 a ball. So when I saw this on eBay for £20 I thought at least 10 to 15 dishcloths worth or more haha. Anyway, using my dishcloth pattern ( see tutorial page) I knitted this bad boy last night whilst watching Mamma Mi Here we go again and Passengers. So three and a half hours lol. Time not wasted as I would have been watching the movies anyway.
Well, we are at the end of the first week of Kitchen Renovations. So far the framework for the new ceiling is in, a new ring main to feed the extra double sockets I will need and all other electrics are now in. Today the builder dropped the bay window ceiling as it had become very damaged with water ingress. As you can see from the pictures two wasps nests were uncovered both dormant so okay I may remove them before the new ceiling is replaced.
