Yesterday Ben came to see me in a professional capacity.
You see my good old war horse of a computer has been playing up over the last few weeks, so I guess I got to the top of his business to-do list.
The computer itself was taking upwards of 3 or 4 minutes to boot up and making horrendous noises.
Anyway after a bacon sandwich, well it is only fair, Ben set to work.
After taking it to pieces he attacked it with the Dyson, removing an embarrassingly large amount of dust and then replacing various bits and bods. It now transpires that the horrendous noise was caused by the failure of the 3 cooling fans. So he has ordered new ones and then my puter will be back to normal.
The cartoon today is usually what I get from Ben if I ask for advice haha, let me clarify that however, it is only the reaction if I have already asked and had it explained more than several times. Usually, I tell him the problem and he remotes onto my computer from his home or office and fixes it for me. So much easier than trying to explain things a few times haha.
I went into town this morning to meet up with Ian Johnson, he lives on the South Coast in Sleaford and comes up to Darington 3 or 4 times a year to visit his 99-year-old dad.
After our coffees, I went to order some meat supplies from Jackson's the butchers in the covered market. On my way back to the car I spied this poor pigeon actually sitting in the stairway fountain in the centre of town.
At first, I thought that it was getting a bath but as I watched it, it became obvious that it was soaked to the skin and probably couldn't fly away.
The fact that it was also raining was a double blow for the poor bird. As I was pondering what, if anything, I could do for it, some RSPCA dudes came along and rescued it. someone had obviousky seen the pigeon's plight as I had and phoned for assistance.
I called to see the mother unit this morning, she is flying solo tonight with her meals as her normal chef is in Thialand haha. So whilst I was there we face timered said chef to see how she is getting on with her holiday. She had just come in from the swimming pool which is in Leanne's garden and was having a drink before getting ready to go out to listen to some music tonight. Not that I am jealous or anything haha.
