Well, the day has finally arrived. I woke this morning nice and early as my to-do list was still running over 2 pages.
The biggest job I guess was washing the bedding and then remaking the bed so that it will be all nice and fresh for me to fall into when I return haha.
Having been steady away since 8 o'clock this morning my to-do list has only 3 items left on it, all of which are lasties, checking windows, watering plants, turning off sockets, collecting together chargers for the various devices we can't do without these days that sort of thing.
So this will be me from tomorrow afternoon for the next 2 weeks. We are staying in a 4-star all-inclusive hotel in Crete, it even has an onsite aqua park for the boys, so everyone is catered for. I will be going down to Sarah's around 5 o'clock, which will give them all a chance to stop crying having dropped off the dog Dave at the kennels haha. We will then load the car and head off up to Newcastle.
At lunchtime, today Sarah, the boys, me and the mother unit went to the Copper Beech for our Sunday lunch. It was the start of the holidays so had a sort of giddy vibe to it haha.
I have to say the portions of food which the Copper Beech serve are huge, Leighton was the only one that actually cleared his plate. The mother unit left the pub with a carryout of her rather large whale-sized piece of cod. So she will have something to eat for her tea tomorrow.
I have been experimenting with another bookmark design recently so I have produced a range of gnome bookmarks.
A couple of weeks ago I told you that I had discovered a way to maybe keep my blog going from my mobile phone during my holidays. I will try when I am away but don't fret too much if I am not on the grid for 2 weeks. Having said that I hope that you will keep the faith and return to me when I return. So it only leaves me to say Ta Ra for a bit and see you on the other side.
