I think I must have earned 10 billion brownie points today.
So what have I done to earn such a bounty of points?
After feeding then taking the children to school (1 billion brownie points earned) I carried on to mums. When I got there she was in the process of getting ready to receive my Auntie Alice from London. She had already got the Z bed out but needed bedding etc. I went up in the attic (no mean feat|) I have to say and retrieved quilts and pillows. I then made up the Z bed and then mum asked me to sort out her hair. I have to say she did look like Worzell Gummidges mother so I set to with a variety of products and her hot brush and sometime later voila a great makeover hairdo. Mum couldn't get her head around the fact the I would only drink black tea and coffee without sugar or milk. I tried to explain but thought better of it haha. Another ( 2 billion points earned)
When I returned home I got a phone call from the elderly couple who live next door. Their washing machine would not go and she had been calling electricians all morning but no one would come out to help her. I thought I would go and see if it was something easy that I could fix. Anyway long story short, she had somehow managed to switch on the child lock, so the power came on but none of the buttons would work. A quick read of the instruction manual and I was able to remove the child lock and hey presto the machine was working. The sad thing is that she would have paid £50 to £60 call out for a simple oversight. (3 billion points earned)
Right for those mathematicians amongst you, you will probably be saying Dot is 4 billion brownie points short. You are quite correct. Well at 4.15 I had a call from Sarah asking if I would run Lee and the boys to Middlesborough (about 14 miles away) to the factory where she works and then he could take her to the mini garage to collect her car. And that folks, is how you earn 10 billion brownie points in one day haha.
Last night I started to watch a series on Disney plus called The Secrets of Sulphur Springs" I guess it is a child fantasy series but I really enjoyed it, time travel, ghosts, that sort of thing, I enjoyed it so much so that I binge-watched all the episodes in the first series oops. So that is 11 episodes at 30 mins a pop, yeah I know crazy.
Just returned home after taking the mother unit home. Monday and Tuesday are my nights to play chef. However, tomorrow night I will be not only hosting our weekly game of cards but also dinner for mum and Auntie Alice.
