Sunday catchup

What a game tonight for our Lionesses. I was dipping in and out of the game as I am not an avid football watcher but managed to dip in right on queue when the goals were being scored.

I think our ladies played brilliantly and have a well-deserved win. Congratulations.

Now the observant amongst you will have noticed that yesterday was blog-less. Since Friday I have been feeling a little under the weather starting with a mild migraine, yesterday didn't do much but lie about so nothing noteworthy to report.

Today I had all the family around for Sunday Lunch. Sarah, Lee and the boys and Ben, Nikki and the kids, so I have cooked for 9 today. It didn't make it very easy as I again got a migraine, this time it was a little worse than Fridays but I had to soldier on. There was a slight mix-up in times which meant my dinner guests arrived at different times.

Sarah and I had arranged for 3.30 to sit down, so the meal was ready for 3.30. Ben and Nikki arrived at 3.45, as Sarah had told them it was 4.00, but Sarah and Lee didn't arrive until 4.30. So the meal had been sitting in warmers for nearly an hour. As you can imagine I was not very pleased with them.

Now Leanne is very soon off to Thailand for a year so this weekend she has taken the mother unit to Blackpool. They are just going overnight but as you can see from the pictures mum seems to be having a great time. To say that the forecast for Blackpool today was rain I think you will agree the weather sorted itself out giving a beautiful sunset to end their day.

A couple of days ago Jeff my brother-in-law gave me some terracotta tiles with wine names on and I set to work this morning to make them into a hanging for my she shed. He also gave me a tile which can be a challenge to read which I have also put on the frame of the she shed.
