Stupidly short legs

It has been a full on day today.

I have been adjudicating again at the year 6 sat's at Polam.

Today was the Arithemic paper and reasoning paper 1, I have to say that they were very challenging for the children I was observing. All I kept thinking was I wonder how my Harry is answering this question.

So that is my commitment to yr6 Sat's completed, but I will be back in school next week to over see the yr2 Sat's papers.

One of the other governors was on duty today with me and I hadn't seen her in ages, so after the sessions were finished this morning she invited me out for coffee and cake. We ended up in Dunelm Mills cafe as she had something to pick up. In the end we plumped for a large slice of apple pie to go with our coffee. It was a lovely interlude and we did a lot of catching up.

My new bedroom chair arrived today. I was excited to see in the box but also a little trepidaious, why you may ask. Well the box, which was sitting on my door step when I arrived home this lunchtime seemed very small to me for a chair. When I opened the box the lovely chair I thought I had ordered turned out to be a stool with a back, to make things worse it had stupidly short legs. If I had sat on it I doubt I would have been able to get up again haha. So this is the small chair/stool. Of course it looked like a pea on a drum in the bedroom, so I have parcelled it back up and asked for a refund.

Meanhile I have ordered another CHAIR shown here on the left, making sure that the measurements were big enough for it to be a chair and not a stool, so we wait again.

Today was also the day that the new media unit was fitted to my car. So again this afternoon I have been driving around in a new Qashqai which although quiet big is a much better car than mine. Roll on September when I can change it again.
