Well, it is the start of a new year and I have defo stopped banging on the door and resolved to move forward to see what 2022 holds for me.
You never know there could be a special someone stopping banging on their particular door and we may meet up.
Anyway, enough of the sentimental claptrap, as I don't feel particularly in need of a special other at the moment, I am quite happy toddling along on my own.
This morning I had a bit of a lay in the first for quite a few weeks actually. I reflected on how marvellous it is to sleep in your own bed. I have to say Leightons bed is a tad uncomfortable as he only has a thin mattress compared to my chunky one, and it is very low to the ground haha.
Today it is my sister Sues turn to provide the mother unit and me with our Sunday Lunch, it was then that I realised that I couldn't stay in bed as I had things to do.
So with that in mind, I have made a trifle for the dessert.
It is customary for the host's guests to provide the dessert every week, but since I forgot to get one when I was shopping on Thursday, and I found a trifle making kit that I had intended to make for Boxing Day, I have made a trifle as my contribution today.
Some more photos from New Year's Eve came in from Sarah this morning so I have included them in today's blog. The last photo is the Jungalow Christmas packed away ready to go into storage for another year. I need to change the Christmas Door wreath and take down the outside Christmas lights and then I will be done.
