Continuing with the medical theme this week, saw me attending the diabetic foot clinic on Tuesday.
I had been back in November but it was felt that because of the funny tingling in my arm and leg down into my feet, that I should go for another check.
So instead of a year between appointments, they saw me after only 3 months. The upshot of the appointment was that as far as they are concerned my diabetic feet are okay and behaving themselves haha.
Quiet close to my Jungalow and around the corner from Bannatynes Hotel, is a small park called The Avenue. Actually, it is probably best described as a very large grass verge with a path running through it. Anyway, that is beside the point, my main reason for mentioning it today is because it is carpeted with spring flowers, snowdrops, crocuses and daffodils and looks stunning. I have to say the pictures do not do it justice. Unfortunately, like most spring flowers this spectacle doesn't last very long. So if you are in town take a look its worth it and will cheer you up a treat.
Now for something exciting for me anyway. On Thursday I bought a new car. I have had my current Ford Puma for a year and a half now and as its PCP is nearly up I decided now was as good a time as any to make the change. So, the week started in the Ford garage as they attempted to persuade me to buy another new car from them. However, the deal they put on the table was not to my liking and as the 1975 Ford Capri was not for sale I left. But, on Thursday I went to look at a mini and the deal was good this time, so next Thursday I will be picking up my new little car haha. No doubt there will be more pictures of it in due course.
Next week see the start of my first crafting classes for the u3a. The first season is on 5D diamond painting. The ladies will be making coasters over the 2 hours we have together. Below are a few pictures of some of the 5D diamond coasters I have made as part of my craft fayre stock.
After having my nails done on Friday morning I hot-footed it to Tre Amec for the monthly u3a Luncheon Club. It was a nice interlude and most enjoyable. However, I didn't notice that the seafood risotto I had ordered was laced with chile which I don't eat, I made a good effort but ultimately it got the better of me.
