Three years ago today, I was returning from a masterclass in sugar paste modelling, when oncoming cars were flashing me as I hurtled up the hill at 50 mph towards Fishburn.
Now we all know what the code is so I hit the brakes. Just as I reached the brow of the hill and my speed down to 35mph I saw them.
Sitting quietly menacingly right behind the 30mph road sign was the speed camera van.
So, yes you guessed it I didn't have time to reduce my speed any further before they snapped me. As I was doing over 30mph I was not offered retraining only a fine and points on my license. To say I was devastated was an understatement as it was the first blemish on my licence in 40 odd years. Well, today those points are no longer showing on my licence for insurance purposes yah to me. I think I will have them for a further 2 years before they disappear completely from my records.
It was super weird this morning as I was flying solo for my weekly shop. I had asked the mother unit if she still wanted to come out, but she said that because she didn't need anything food-wise, she was stopping in. I dropped the boys off at school at 8.50, visited 3 shops bought a further 6 Christmas Gifts and was back home by 10.10, marvellous. I have never had so much time on a Friday even after doing the weekly shop. Said Christmas gifts are now wrapped and stored haha.
The problem which the blog experienced earlier this week seems to have sorted itself out, thank goodness. So you can continue reading my drivel without any glitches to mar your reading pleasure haha.
So here we are yet again on Friday. I swear the weeks seem to be getting shorter. Well this weekend coming up is a busy one for me, so I will have lots to share by Sunday. That's all for today and I hope you are all well and are looking forward to a good weekend.
