Yesterday was a glorious day, in the garden with a sundress, yes sundress on, having an Easter Egg hunt with my grandchildren marvellous. Last night when I went to bed I thought that it felt colder and the wind had picked up considerably. Well, this morning there was a sprinkling of snow in the garden, yes my friend's snow. How can such a beautiful day yesterday morph into a snow and cold fest today brrrrr!!!. Not as dramatic as the picture but you get my drift haha.
Today I continued the clearing out of the kitchen cupboards. After lunch yesterday Nikki and Ben moved my table and chairs, sideboard and display cabinet into my bedroom. So the dining room is now empty. I am amazed at how much stuff I had stored in my kitchen cupboards. My bedroom now looks like a rummage sale haha. I now have a small walkway around the room so I can still access my wardrobes and chest of drawers. One positive thing to come out of this is that I will take this opportunity to clear out a lot of stuff I don't need or use. But at the end of each day, I can close the bedroom door on the jumble and keep the rest of the Jungalow clean and tidy. I reckon it will be the end of the month before I can descend from the Princess tower and things are anywhere near back to normal.
It has always been my intention to recycle as much of the fixtures and fittings from the three rooms as possible. The kitchen cabinets, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, oven etc along with cabinets are a given, but I was hoping that I would be able to re-lay the dining room carpet into the craft room thus saving a chunk of money. Unfortunately, the eye tells lies and although I was sure that it would fit, it wasn't until Ben measured said rooms that we realised that it was too short. So what to do with the now redundant carpet. Market place on Facebook, I hear you cry, so I listed the said carpet on market place and it was sold pending pick up within 1 hour with a waiting list of people if the first sale falls through haha.
Well, the workmen start tomorrow bright and early so I think I will be setting an alarm on my phone, after all, it is not very good opening the door still in your nightie and hair sticking up everywhere haha.
