Snow day

Well, all I can say is that Santa is welcome to his weather.

I had a feeling that I would wake up to a covering of snow today when last night as I went to sleep I could hear either snow or thick rain hammering on the window.

This morning I got my answer when I opened the blinds to see a covering of snow.

Although Darlington has not got a lot of snow, my son up in Aycliffe had 3 inches of the white stuff.

I just wish that Karen in South Africa could send us some sunshine, returning the bucket fulls of rain I sent her a couple of weeks ago. I was getting quite used to the early spring-like weather and now I feel we are back to square one.

Not feeling 100% today, having gotten my first migraine for 2 years. It has left me feeling a bit spaced out. I used to get a couple of bad migraines per month but they have steadily gotten less over the years. Now when I get one it is nowhere near as nasty as it used to be and I can usually work through them. But I am defo out of practice and have taken badly to it today. So this afternoon I am going to have a wee nap and some paracetamol and hope for the best.
