Well, it is Saturday again. There must be more than one in the week as they keep coming around very fast haha.
On this mornings to-do list was to get my nails beautified at the i-Nails bar in the town. I was up and out by 8.45 to meet up with Sarah so that we could beat the crowds. You may well ask if there are lots of people waiting for their nails to be done at that time of the morning, and the short answer would be hell yes. We had barely sat down when the place was heaving, so good call to get there early.
When we were finished Sarah suggested a sneaky Costa coffee and a lemon pie apiece. Again we got into the cafe just as the hordes of Costa coffee drinkers crawled out of the woodwork.
A couple of weeks ago I heard of a new store in town that you could only go in if you were a member. I applied and it seems that being a teacher even though I am retired was sufficient to gain my membership. So today Sarah and I headed off to pick up my membership card and have a mosey around. Some great food bargin to be had from shops such as M&S, Tesco, Waitrose etc.
So tonight Ben and Nikki are coming to stay over as we are all, including Sarah and Lee, hitting the town and going for a Chinese at the Eastern Bamboo restaurant. I have decided that I will make this a monthly treat for them. So hair was done yesterday (check) nails done this morning (check) new outfit sorted and ready to put on (check) just need a shower and makeup then I will be ready to go. Apparently, we are going to The Orb for one, 22 for one and Hash for one before heading off to the Chinese. Should be a good night.
The mother unit arrived back last night and to be honest she is looking a little frazzled/tired/melancholy but I guess it is understandable given it is Sandras anniversary tomorrow. But we will all be together supporting her through it.
