Had a much better night's sleep last night, so woke up early ready to face the challenges of the day.
I put in a call to my Sister Sue who told me that all her cases were packed and that she and her husband Jeff would be leaving shortly for Chang Mia airport.
So around 6 o'clock our time tonight, they will be boarding a plane in Bangkok en route to Amersterdam,
She gets back into Newcastle Airport, mid-morning tomorrow and I will be picking her up from the station in Darlington around lunchtime.
I have to say I will be glad to get her back, then she can share the weight of mum's passing in person.
Speaking of the mother unit, there has been a bit of a setback today. Her case has been referred to the coroner, because of her fall in the garden, so that will have a knock-on effect on the funeral, the fact that it should have been referred on Monday is a bit annoying. The undertaker is fighting our corner and is constantly on the phone with them to try and sort it out.
Mid-afternoon I received a box of sleeping flowers. I just love the sticker that was on the box when I opened it up. It is a lovely mix of roses, ornamental cabbage, alstroemeria, flox, pussy willow and foliage from Tony and Julia, thank you so much they are beautiful. When they have completely woken up I am sure they will look stunning.
This morning I had a few errands to run one of which was to get some groceries in, I haven't been to the supermarket for nearly two weeks and I have to say it felt really strange on my solo mission.
I picked up a bunch of flowers whilst I was out and called in to see my mum's sister Sylvia. She had been really upset to see mum at the hospital and I was concerned to see how she was. We had a lovely chat about mother over a cup of coffee. When I returned my gardener had planted Sandra in my front garden and she is looking stunning, I just hope I can keep her alive.
