Santorini or bust....

Well that went fast!!!!!!

No sooner as I arrived than I seemed to be packing to come home again.

However within that short time I packed a lot in.

.

Sue picked me up for my 8.30 train and by 11 oclock I was meeting up with the two ladies that I had gotten to know through Whatsapp over the last 6 weeks.

Interesting plant life was growing on the island considering there is a permanaent water shortage. Apart from the obvious of grapes, pistachios and olives this beautiful red flower morphs into pomegranites and the large birds nest structure is actually a grape vine. They are trained to form a crown over 6 years which takes advantage of the fact that it is extremlley arrid.

Whilst there I tried lots of different modes of transport. A coach, a boat and a little noddy train although I drew the line at the wooden bikes haha.

Finally here is a selection of pictures from the holiday. Covering everything from the iconic pictues of Santorini, to visiting an open air cinema to watch Mama Mia to sunset over the Santos Vineyard. Interesting fact any blue domes you see on Santorini are churches, they are the only buildings which are allowed to have them. However, the main church in the capital Thira, has white domes. The third picture of this group is me taking the pee out of all the pretty young influencers that were draping themselves all over the ancient structures and pouting for their Instagram feeds.

I returned home in the early hours of Wednesday and was straight into turn around for my next holiday which starts on Friday morning. I am off to Tattersill Lodges in Linconshire with Ben, Nikki, the kids and Frank for a week. So same m.o. as last week people, blog when I return. Tarrah for a bit, see you later.

This weeks brain teaser keeping with the Christmas in July (almost) theme. Can you find Father Christmas?
