I had the most unsettled nights sleep that I have had in a long while.
I saw 2, 3 and 4 o'clock, before falling into a fitful sleep until around 8,30. The consequence for today is that I feel very jaded and my eyes are sore with lack of sleep.
I made the mistake of sitting down this afternoon to watch a film and was surprised that in the next moment it was showing the credits.
So tonight I may well be having an uncharacteristic early night.
It was a very sad day today for Sarah and her family as she had to say goodbye to little Milly, her cat of 16 years. The poor cat has been steadily deteriorating over the last year but in the last 6 months, she has lost half her body weight and in just these last few weeks she has developed kidney and liver failure. When I was looking after the menagerie last weekend I was hoping and praying that the 4 animals I was left in charge of at the beginning of the weekend actually made it to the end of my watch. But today Milly took her final journey with Sarah and now she's at peace. Sarah and the boys however have had a very sad day. This photo was taken quite a few years ago when she was fit and healthy.
So apart from taking the mother unit out for her weekly shopping, today has been very uneventful. The fact that it was been on and off torrential rain for most of the day hasn't helped. I have finally gotten around to sorting out the Emelda Marcos collection of shoes I have and consigned 50% of them to the charity bag.
