Today I have awarded myself the day off.
For the past couple of days I have worked non-stop on the garage and to be honest, coupled with the work I did last week with Scott and I was definitely starting to feel it.
So after taking Harry to his new school for his second taster day I returned home and I am embarrassed to say, whilst making my bed, I climbed under the throw and had a sneaky 45 mins haha.
I was rudely awoken by a text from Scott, my little handyman. He was congratulating me on the empty garage, (I had sent him a picture yesterday) and said that he would be able to come and strip off the cladding from the garage on Monday.
I was so excited that my garden project would be moving ahead quickly until he dropped his bombshell. Starting from a week on Monday he will be employed with a company which he had applied for a job with a couple of months ago. So he will no longer be working for himself and therefore won't be able to finish my project. This means that I am again on the lookout for an odd job man to do my crazy paving and put a new pagoda-type roof on the garage. When he comes next week I will be trying to persuade him to fit me in before he starts his new job even if it is just to put the roof on.
This afternoon I was at Hurworth Primary for their final governor's meeting of this school year. Oh my word the meeting started at 3.30 and I was driving out of the school grounds at 6.15 so my head is suitably battered.
I am just cooking myself some pulled pork and jacket potatoes for my tea then I am going to settle down in front of the TV haha.
