My phone alarm went off as planned at 7.30 this morning. That left me 1 hour to get up and have some breakfast before the builders came at 8.30. It was all working like clockwork, as my carpet buyers were coming for 9 o'clock by which time the builders would have lifted and rolled the carpet, bish bash bosh job done. However, 15 minutes into the plan I got a message from the builders to say that they would not be arriving until 9.20, so breakfast on the hoof making sure everything was ready changed to a leisurely breakfast sitting down reading my emails. But of course, it left me with the carpet dilemma, too big and heavy for me to roll on my own so I had to just wait to see how it panned out. I
need not have worried as my carpet buyers soon had the carpet rolled and tucked into the back of their car. They were thrilled with their purchase.
End of day 1 and the framework for the new ceiling is in. Electrics for the ceiling lights smoke alarm and extractor duct for the cooker hood will begin tomorrow. And now it is snowing haha.
Tonight I will be going around to mums for our weekly game of cards. Bless her she can't really see the cards although we do play with giant cards. The cards are so big that we have special stands to put them in as they are too big to hold in your hand. So it is Susan's job to play her hand and mothers hand as well haha. It works okay until Susan has the dilemma of throwing out cards that she knows mum will need.
