If I have used this meme recently I do apologize, but today it is very appropriate.
Mid-morning I was involved in a permanent Exclusion panel for a child at Polam hall.
It didn't take me very long to realise that I needed to take down notes, as there was so much that needed sorting out I needed to get my point over in the deliberation session after the meeting with the child's parents.
What made it more challenging was that the meeting was being held over Teams which is like Zoom for those who don't know, so some of the connections were not that great. Long story short I was able to contribute fully, due to my note-taking, haha, and the right decision was made.
This afternoon I ventured into my newly sorted craft room to do some crafting. On the list of to-dos, today was a sheepskin coat to alter for my Auntie Sylvia, she is literally 4 foot 6 inches tall and very frail. She had bought a coat but the sleeve had to be turned up 3 times for it to fit her. Anyway, now they are the correct length so all good.
Last year I spent a lot of time knitting scarves, which I intended to sell at the Christmas Craft Fayres I was attending this year. I had a few leftover so I decided to upcycle one of them into a draft excluder. My new craft room which was the old kitchen doesn't have any form of heating so a cold draft was whistling under the door. I had to weigh up the cost of putting heating in that room or repurposing a hand-knitted scarf. I chose the scarf and I think it looks fine.
Later this afternoon I will be attending a governors briefing and then around 8.30 I am going to be meeting via Zoom with a lot of you lovely ladies in the first GNO(Girls Night Out) but in, so actually a GNI, of this year.
Very dramatic sunset skies here tonight, I hope it doesn't mean snow as the temperature has also dropped significantly.
