Well, today was the day that I began the renovations of my bedroom.
FYI this is what I thought I looked like whilst I was pasting the walls, but the reality was far from it haha.
Ben arrived around 9.30 and helped me move my bed off the wall so that I could get behind to strip the wall.
He also moved my floor mirror, which is the size of a standard door, for the same reason.
Then whilst he was working in the dining room I set to work. My aim was to strip the walls then re paper them so that he could help me put the furniture back, as I couldn't move the bed on my own.
Stripping done and copious amounts of dust removed from skirting boards and under the bed, Ben helped me put the room to rights. So here is a sneak preview of the new wallpaper. Tomorrow after I have finished and changed the bedding for the new stuff I will post the refurbished room for your approval.
So I have gone from butterflies to bee hives. The design is from the Chateau de La Motte Husson in France. I have been following the anticics of its owns Dick and Angela Strawbridge for the last 6 years as they have renovated the 45 bedroom chateau. So I was thrilled when I found that she had released some of the chateau designs for us mere motals to enjoy.
I have enjoyed a lovely visit from both my children today. Ben for most of the day and Sarah for an hour or so tonight. Ben was working on his own business from the Jungalow whilst waiting for my new phone to arrive.
He was tasked with setting it up. It felt like a daunting task to get all the apps, messages, contacts, photographs etc off the old phone onto the new one, especially as the old one after having its rice bath for the last 24 hours was as dead as a door nail. But imagine our surprise when Ben switched the new phone on and it completely retrieved and re installed all my photos messages and apps etc, so within no time at all I was up and running. Same phone number everything.
