Property developers in the Grove - Day 416

Good day to you all out in Blog land. The sun is shining there is a slight breeze and the Jungalow like a phoenix has nearly risen from its makeover.

The finish line is so close I feel I could reach out and touch it. I can't wait to show you finished shots of the three rooms instead of half-finished building works.

Tomorrow the LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tiles) a bit like Karndine, will be laid along with my new dining room carpet. Then there are only the blinds to be delivered and that's it, folks. I have to say I am really exhausted at the moment and think I have pushed myself a little too far haha. But I have some serious crafting to catch up on when this is all over, that is until the next project I have in mind is started.

There are property developers moving into the Grove and I managed to get some shots of them on my phone this morning, unfortunately, they are developing very close to my house so that may be a problem. Here are the culprits, yes, Mr and Mrs Blackbird, new address The Garage round the back, 15 Elton Grove, Darlington haha. One thing about the new kitchen I sit every morning in the bay window having my breakfast watching the comings and goings in the garden, it is fascinating.

This morning I joined the growing ranks of people who have had their second Covid Vaccination. My sister Sue and I went down to Feethams centre at 10.45 and 10.46 respectively and 10 mins later came out, done and dusted.

Ben came to complete some jobs for me today. He moved mirrors, put up shelves and clocks and the best job of all was the tidying up of the cables at the back of my desk. Prior to him coming the desk had wires and cables all over the place and was like a spaghetti junction when you tried to move the desk. Now it is all ordered and labelled marvellous.

So I had a call from the carpet shop today and the carpet will defo be laid which is fine and will mean the furniture moving on Sunday can still go ahead. However, the LVT fitter may not be able to start on the kitchen and hall floor tomorrow. Bill Calvert, the carpet shop owner, will ring me in the morning to tell me the arrangements. Hopefully, it will all still go ahead.
