Oh, my days this was defo me this morning when my latest lateral flow test came up negative.
I had so much I wanted to do but had not felt in the mood to do it last week, that I was really excited about getting out and about again.
I had decided that I would for the foreseeable future keep my mask on when I went to see the mother unit, and also when I visit the supermarket.
However, I had promised mum that I would take her shopping today if, I was okay, so that loomed on my morning horizon haha. Mid-morning I got a phone call from mum saying that she did not want much at the supermarket and if she gave me a list could I get her some bits. Talk about a bonus, I had already decided that I would be only going to one shop today and that it would be a whistle-stop tour at that, so when she said she didn't want to go I punched the air, to be honest. Having purchased the things she wanted, along with my own supplies, I racked up at her bungalow, I kept my mask on as planned, but to be honest I don't know why I bothered.
Her boyfriend George had been around this morning in search of Lateral Flow tests as he had been in bed for most of the week ill. I asked her if she let him in and she said of course, but I made him sit over the other side of the room. PRICELESS, so all the precautions I have taken over the week have probably been for nothing.
In my bedroom, I have a victorian style chrome bedstead. It has knobs on each corner very reminiscent of the ones in the film Bedknobs and Broomsticks. Yesterday I noticed that one of them was virtually hanging off. I asked Robyn if she knew anything about it. She said no but perhaps one of the boys turned it and made it loose during a game. To me, that was tantamount to a full admission haha.
Tonight, I am taking Ben and Nikki out for a meal. It is a thank you for the marvellous job Ben did on my smelly underfloor swamp.
I am taking them to a fusion restaurant called Bambudda on Gladstone Street, which is a mix of Thia and Chinese food. I will give a full run down tomorrow after I have been tonight.
