Today has been quite exciting in many ways already.
I received a text from the guys delivering my new dishwasher to say when they would be arriving. Then all I had to do was text Ben who had agreed to come and install it for me.
So a quick run to the school and I was back in time for the delivery to happen.
I am so glad that they came early 9.10, because I have a busy day ahead of me today with my governors hat on aglin.
I will be heading out to Hurworth Primary again to talk to another teacher in my role as link governor. Today the teacher is the lead for DT (Design Technology) So, lunch, changed and then I will be out of here haha.
This morning the children arrived as normal, now they usually disappear into various rooms to watch mindless rubbish on Youtube, but today, it was like the attack of the body snatchers as both children wanted to do activities instead. Leighton wanted to do some craft and Harry decided that it was a good idea to take me up on my offer of maths coaching, amazing!!!!!
Before Ben fitted my new dishwasher he took the opportunity to use his snake camera to look beneath the floor boards to see if he could identify what was making such a smell. OMG, I will say it again OMG!!!!! the camera revealed the problem. One of the joints coming from the sinks and the dishwasher was leaking and had been for some time. The floor and void under the units is not only wet but is filled with slimy smelly gunge.
Ben will return at the weekend to cut a hole in the suspended floor to locate and repair the leak. Then it will be a process of clearing up the mess.
But my shiny new dishwasher has been installed and I am thrilled with it. I have just been on Market Place to try and sell on my old dishwasher, which, might I add, is in perfectly working order.
