No mobile zone

This meme demonstrates one of my pet hates.

Nothing is guaranteed to make my blood boil than when the kids have come to visit me and then spend the whole time on their phones. What is the point of the visit? So now I have no problem telling them to put their phones down and talk to me haha.

Well, this morning I was out and about again early doors. This time I was meeting up with Ian Johnson who lives on the South Coast but who is visiting his 98-year-old dad for a couple of days.

So yesterday I had a breakfast planning meeting with Rita and today I had a coffee meet up with Ian.

If you are ever in town this little cafe, which used to be Greenwoods the Tailors, called Influence Cafe, is a really nice place for coffee and snacks.

So latte and a cappuccino coffee and the world put to rights we had worked our way through an hour. Ian had to get back to his dad and had decided to walk back through the south park so that he could call at the log cabin in the centre of the park to purchases himself an ice cream. I have to say there is a child in all of us haha.

I again had been charged with going to give the labrador a toilet break and a little nana time which I did around 1 o'clock. I called at mums on the way home to check that the decorator was still doing okay and on track to finish this afternoon.

When I got back I decided as the afternoon was warm and sunny that I would go and potter about in the garden. I have to say that my pottering turned into major landscaping. Now I will get my gardener to rearrange some of the shrubs and plant the new ones I have purchased so that by next summer the particular board will look stunning,

Whilst I was clearing the area I found that the hebes and potentilla shrubs were hiding a rockery so that is a bonus. Hopefully, the shrubs I have cut down will grow next year but they were in dire need of a scalping.
