I can identify with this meme today. I have got up to do things a couple of times this morning then got interested in doing something else and completely forgotten my original mission haha.
I had it on my to-do list this morning to go up the stairs into the Princess Tower and bring down the rest of the Christmas bits I want down and tidy up the bedroom ahead of the builder and electrician coming tomorrow morning to hopefully fix my main lights. I know it has to be done but in my mind, I am shutting it out haha probably because I don't want to do it. So after dinner, I am off up the stairs no excuses.
Haha so here is 3 excuses I used this afternoon. I had had my dinner and was about to go upstairs, honest when Rita arrived for a catch-up chat and a planning session for Christmas Do. Well, that expended an hour and a half, thank you Rita it was a great catch up. After she had gone it was nearly time for the children to arrive home from school. So here I am at 5 o'clock having just taken the children home and about to climb the stairs to clean up before starting my tea, literally foot on the bottom step when the phone rang. It was Sarah who rings me every night on her way home from work, so 25 mins later, I have put my tea in the oven to cook and climbed the stairs. When I get up there I realised that there was only the bed to make, because it is a pointless exercise putting the Christmas Decoration boxes away until after they have been tomorrow just in case they have to lift the floors, so after all the avoidance tactics today and yesterday it actually took me only 15 minutes to make the room presentable haha.
So I am finishing the blog before my scampi and chips are cooked, then I can settle down for the evening, as I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here is back on tonight after Storm Arwen took it off the air.
