Well this morning saw the final push to get the Jungalow looking good.
I was all done and sitting relaxing around 1 o'clock. I had had a phone call telling me of the estimated time of arrival of john and Irene who have been in the Lakes last week and are on route to their home in Chepstow, South Wales, so I settled down in the conservatory to read my book whilst I waited.
True to their word they arrived just before 2 o'clock. It was nice to see them and we spent the next couple of hours getting ourselves up to speed, after all it has been 3 years since we last met up.
So around 7 o'clock we headed out to Bambudda in Gladstone street for our evening meal. I have only been to this particular restaurant once before with Ben and Nikki and it was very good, so, I had high hopes for this evening. I have to say I was not disappointed the food is excellent. We had the Emporers Banquet which consisted of a sharing plate of ribs, prawn toast, spring rolls, seaweed and chicken satay, this course was followed by duck pancakes and then the main course of blackbean beef, belly pork and veg, massive king prawns and a vegetable dish. It was all washed down with a cheeky white wine. Then it was back to the Jungalow to have a night cap so that's why it is 1 o'clock in the morning and I am just getting around to writing the blog haha.
I have to say it was a bit disconserting to come face to face with Daves brother as they look so much alike.
