After yesterday's exertions I was defo feeling it this morning haha.
But of course I was up and at it for the boys, after the school run I went in search of Daves chainsaw.
It was upstairs in one of the cupboards, so I brought it down and plugged it in to the charger in anticipation of Ben coming to vamoose the rest of the hedge.
He arrived around 9.45 and I could tell he wasn't well, but he went outside and tried the chainsaw, it made one pathetic cut and then promptly died.
So whilst Ben had a nap and some drugs haha I took myself off to Screwfix to buy another chainsaw.
This time it was an electrical powered one not a battery one.
When I came back Ben was still alseep so I went outside and continued with the secateurs. A little later Ben came outside with the new chainsaw which he had built and it was like a hot knife through butter cutting the remaining trunks down.
One of the upsides is that the trunks are big enough to dry out to be used in the fire pit next season.
All I am left with is a pile of foliage and branches which I will sort when my green bin is emptied tomorrow. Then I will be demolishing the little wall in the corner of the garden (picture 4) and levelling the ground to accept the new shed.
Also this morning I had a conversation with Scott who is going to put my new fence in. We discussed what I wanted doing and he gave me a great price which was half what I was considering from the other landscasper so he will begin work on Monday.
