New connections

This morning I not only had to be up and at it for the school run but also the imminent arrival of the engineer from Virgin Media. Oh yes, my appeal to my son-in-law paid dividends and within hours an engineer was booked. At exactly 8 o'clock this morning he turned up. Agreed there was something major wrong with the system and then went about the Jungalow changing out routers wiring etc. By 9 o'clock he was done so everything now is back to normal, which is a relief.

So this morning I travelled to Gainford at 11 o'clock to attend the funeral of another of Davids pub friends. I had known this man for many years and when Dave and I used to go out on a Saturday night to the Baydale Beck he would always be in our company. I felt it only right that I attend his funeral to pay my respects as Daves representative.

Yesterday I finished the Memory Bear for my friend Liz. I parcelled it up and it is now winging its way down to Coulsden in Surrey. I had thought that because the memory bears were being made for small children and these bears are not meant to be played with, I would make special gifts that the children could play with now. With that in mind, I went in search of leftover material from the memory bear I made Liz's grandaughter some years ago now and hey-presto 2 huggable owls for the children to play with now. Don't know why the bear looks brown in the first picture as it is pinks, greens and purples on a white background.
