Never to soon - just saying......

Okay, don't pretend you are shocked. Of course, Dot would have started her Christmas Present Shopping including wrapping them after all it is nearly July.

I always love Christmas in July on Movies 24 as the latest crop of Christmas Movies are released haha. So, here is a timely reminder of the current state of play:-

180 Days

to the big man's appearance, so, what are you waiting for get out there and shop.

Monday saw me travelling to James Cook Hospital in Middlesborough for Nerve and Muscle Conductivity Testing.

I have been getting pins and needles and numbness in my lower left leg and left arm for most of this year. I have had various tests done including MR1 scans and Xrays, so, Monday, was the next stage in the investigations.

I have to say, although a little uncomfortable it wasn't painful, it was rather disconcerting that my hands and feet had a mind of their own when the electric shocks were put through the nerves. Preliminary results have shown that I have trapped nerves in both my elbows the left one being the most serious surgery is the only solution. I will have to wait for the consultant to interrogate the results further before the full picture is revealed. But at least it explains the pins and needles in my left hand.

On Wednesday it was Leighton's 11th birthday. I headed down for a celebratory BBQ with him. He had asked for a Lego birthday cake which of course I made for him haha. As you can see, he got a lot of presents, mostly Lego but also cash and clothing and a new iPhone. After tea, we sat around Sarah's rather modern chiminea, which kicked out just the right amount of heat as Wednesday was a bit chilly later on.

Imagine my surprise on Thursday afternoon when I picked up the post. There was a sparkly gold envelope addressed to me, was it my birthday, nope, we have already been that route this year. In fact, it was a winning cheque from the Postcode Lottery. I had won the daily £1000 but since I play 2 tickets that was doubled. It was like you see them on the TV in my kitchen that afternoon as I opened the envelope and pulled out the cheque haha. It has come at a great time, just ahead of my trip to Cheltenham, Santorini and Tattersale.

This week has been full-on with the u3a. On Wednesday I was in Hurworth for the u3a Summer Quiz event, on Thursday I was teaching paper-cutting crafts to my u3a ladies in town and on Friday I was at the monthly luncheon club at Tre Amic, so a busy week to be fair.

My answer would be 70 years old as I didn't know until now what the lines stood for. I thought they were just strength lines built into the plastic cup. Who knew!!!!!!

This week's brain teasers - Can you find the bunny?
