Needle in a Haystack

This is exactly what happened last night. Mum had kindly volunteered me to chauffeur my Auntie Sylvia to her house for her tea and then take her home later in the evening.

Well, I was let off the first part of the job as my aunt's daughter delivered her to mums, which left the homeward leg for me to do. I got a phone call from mum around 6 to say that auntie Sylvia had arrived without any keys to get back into her house so could I come earlier to make a detour to my aunties daughters for a spare key - no problem. I duly turned up and headed off to my cousin's house to collect a key. There was no answer from my cousins so we thought to try my other cousins on the other side of the town. As we were on our way my auntie said a third cousin lived close so should we try there.

After giving directions we set off. The first house number was wrong, as was the second, third and fourth. It was like looking for a needle in a haystack as my auntie said her daughter lived next to a vet and hairdressers shop and had a pompom shaped tree in her garden and blinds up at her window, nearly every house in the road had blinds. I finally found a house that matched her description although it was not a vet but a podiatrist haha. Anyway long story shorter we managed to get the key and I eventually delivered said auntie home. What should have been a 10 min journey ended up being over an hour. So surely my brownie point tally must be through the roof now.

This afternoon I will be delivering mums groceries, she didn't feel up to going to the shops this morning and whilst I am there I will be gaining several hundred thousand more brownie points by digging out the base for her lamppost which Ben will fit on Tuesday.

Tonight I will be going down to Sarahs to babysit whilst they go out to celebrate their 15th wedding anniversary. Fun fact - I have had my eyes cosmetically lasered for 15 years also haha.
