It might not be Christmas yet, but there is only one more shift for me in the stable. I have done another 4 hours tonight sitting on a straw bale nursing a very realistic baby and talking to a myriad of visitors from small toddlers to pensioners haha. The guy who is playing Joseph has been running back and forth getting me cups of coffee, which I have had to hide under the crib when the visitors came through.
At one point he was wondering why I wasn't talking as I usually do, then he realised that I had a mouthful of flapjack so he jumped in to cover for me.
We were very busy from 4 o'clock up until 6.50, the performance runs until 8 o'clock every night unless we run out of bookings and that's what happened tonight.
So I was on my way home at 7.17 instead of 8.15 - result. Hopefully, tomorrow nights session will be shorter than tonight which will be great. It is surprising how uncomfortable sitting on a straw bale for 4 hours can actually be. Of course, if there is any of you with a burning desire to come and see our production at Elmridge Church I think there are still places available.
So now I am sitting eating some pumpkin and pine nut-filled tortellini covered with tomato and mascarpone sauce yummy, I may pour myself a little something to drink before settling down to the penultimate I'm a Celebrity.
I have spent the day whizzing around the Jungalow tidying up, and now only have the craft room to sort before Christmas. So not a lot to report today so a short and sweet blog tonight, as my head is a little battered haha.
