Nduja not for the faint hearted haha....

At the beginning of this week, Leighton took his first big steps into the world of the senior school.

He was super nervous but has thoroughly enjoyed the challenge this week.

As is Sarah's practice she always sends me pictures of the boys in their uniforms.

This year being a little different she sent pictures of the boys on their first day at school as well to compare.

I think you will agree with how grown up they have become.

Speaking of growing grandchildren, this coming week will see Dominic turn into a Kevin ( he will become a teenager haha) He asked for a racing car cake which of course I obliged. He is celebrating this weekend, although his actual birthday is next week, which also coincides with him returning to a band shine new school. The new school at Woodham has literally just been finished.

Last week I was sitting watching TV one night and decided that I needed another challenge, so I launched into the redecoration and styling of my lounge. The last picture gives you a sneek preview of the direction I have taken haha. No doubt you will see the before and afters when it is finally complete.

It is amazing what you find people have put out for the bin men.

On Tuesday I was picking Robyn up from school in Aycliffe when I came up to Steve from Minecraft guarding a bin.

He had been made out of tomatoe boxes and other cardboard boxes and looked fab from a distance.

Unfortunately, he had outstayed his welcome so is probably crushed to pieces and in landfill by now haha.

On Wednesday Rita and I met up for brunch and a good catchup (as we hadnt seen each other since our holidays) at Maggies cafe in town.

I ordered Nduja scrambled eggs on sourdough with feta. I had been assured that it was just a mild cheese by the waitress.

When it came it was a very fetching colour of orange.

I asked her if it contained spice she said no, but I tried a minuscule piece and it was firey hot.

Needless to say, it went back to be remade without the Nduja cheese haha.

Nduja is a spreadable spicy salami cheese, clearly, the waitress didn't no that. Many cooling drinks later and lots of apologies from staff our brunch continued without further excitement and we left having had a great catch-up.

This week's brain teaser.

Last wrk's solutions did you guess them?
