Well, what can I say, last night was the most dramatic rain and thunderstorm we have had for a very long time.
The day had been well humid and it wasn't surprising that the thunder started to roll in around 3 o'clock.
Harry and Leighton had arrived at my house in the morning with no coats and I had assured them if it rained I would come to school to collect them.
As it wasn't raining at 3 o'clock, when I checked, I thought they would be fine to walk the short distance from school to the Jungalow.
Of course, I omitted to look out of the window in the interim between 3 and 3.30 so the boys arrived at my house looking like drown rats. Of course, I was not very popular for not coming to get them but even more, shame and displeasure was heaped on me when I insisted that they take off their wet clothes and wear a nana t-shirt until I had dried them in the tumble dryer. I think their faces say it all haha.
Of course, the storm raged all over this region and Ben sent some dramatic pictures of the rain taken from his front window.
Now here is the funny thing, after the storm had passed over it left behind the most dramatic sky. We were treated to a lovely rainbow and some very colourful clouds
This afternoon is the joint birthday party for Dominic and Nikki. Just got back in at 6.30 from Ben and Nikkis it was a really nice social afternoon. My cake went down very well.
