Mums pop up restaurant - Day 391

As you will all know by now I am having my Kitchen renovated haha.

Well to that end Sunday lunch this week is on the move. As all of my dining furniture is stacked up in my bedroom I have nowhere for dinner guests to sit. It is my turn to cater this Sunday for my sister and brother-in-law and my mum, so we are having a pop-up restaurant at mums. I will be providing all the food and mum the venue. This could be a fortnightly occurrence until my Jungalow is feeling better. I have decided to cook the meat and prepare the veg at the Jungalow and then transport it around to mums around 11 o'clock. Which will give me time to do other things in the Jungalow before I go out. Well, dinner was a huge success and I have pork joint leftover to feed the mother unit tomorrow night with some chips, win-win.

Okay, this morning I completed my list of to-do jobs from yesterday. I completed the removal of the dining room wallpaper and scraped all the loosened emulsion underneath. So the next time I will be in that room will be next Saturday to decorate the walls before the kitchen fitter starts a week tomorrow.

I would like to thank all the people who have signed up for the blog. It is heartwarming when I get notifications to say that you are reading my drivel. If you have not signed up yet the easiest way is to fill in the subscribe box which you will find at the bottom of each page. Then whenever I post something you will be notified so no logging in every time. I wouldn't want you to miss a moment of the riveting life in the Jungalow haha.

Oh-my-days I have won the Lottery. Don't get too excited mind it was only £30 so not quite enough for the Lamborghini haha but as the mother unit would say, it is better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick.

As much as it pained me to do I have had to destroy the beautiful paper wasps nest before the new ceiling goes up tomorrow. As it was dormant I didn't feel too bad but It is stunning how intricate the construction is and to think it is all paper.

There was a small satellite nest that had just been started as well. That too was stunning and so delicate.
