This coming week is defo a multi-tasking scenario.
I have my cousin's daughters wedding cake to complete before pick up on Friday. I also have a Memory Bear to make before Friday also so quite a bit to be getting my teeth into this week.
I made a start on the cake today by putting marzipan on the top and bottom fruit cake layers.
On Tuesday I will be making a rich lemon curd sponge and a chocolate fudge sponge.
Wednesday and Thursday will be full-on icing mode, with over 2,000 blossoms to make and apply to the cake.
The bride and groom have a labrador called Wilf who they treat like their baby, but of course, he is too big to come to the wedding but that hasn't stopped her from requesting he be placed somewhere on the cake. With this in mind, I have sculpted a labrador who will look as though he is crawling out from under the icing on the bottom layer. I have to say the weight of the said cake is very heavy and I will be glad it will be leaving my house on Friday, and I will not be responsible for getting it to the venue.
Sunday lunch out at Sue and Jeffs again this week. When I returned I had a visit from Rita, it was great to catch up and I fulfilled my annual timetable laminating project for her grandsons.
Tonight is my regular zoom catch up with my cruise friends.
