Took advantage of my bigger screened TV in the bedroom last night before I went to sleep, it was great not having to prop myself up with pillows to be able to comfortably watch the screen.
This morning I was up by 9 ready to go around to the mother units to begin my busy day being a general labourer to Ben who has finally gotten around to installing mums lamp post.
I had already dug out the hole required to put the cement base in last week so today it was a case of pouring the cement and then attaching the lampost.
Of course mum was ecstatic to finally have the lampost in position. Thus earning Ben 1,000000 brownie points and a little treat from mum and me slightly fewer points for actually getting him around to do it haha. Dominic was also on hand to learn a few pointers from his dad, very much like Ben learned from Dave back when Ben was Dominic's age. So tonight when it gets dark we will see if it actually works.
Whilst I was at mums I got a phone call from Bristol Street Motors telling me that my new car was being delivered in a couple of days time. They asked me to put my cherished number plate on retention so that it could be registered against the new car. When we returned from mums Ben helped me do that.
So the slow-cooked gammon joint is ready for our teas which I will serve with some chips before heading back to mums for our weekly game of cards.
