Mixed Messages

Mixed messages this week haha.

Whilst I was in The Range on Wednesday, I purchased a new door wreath in preparation for the upcoming Halloween season. Think the baby vampire's skeleton looks really cute.

But also this week I was wrapping Christmas presents and writing Christmas Cards.

Don't get me wrong I have not finished my Christmas shopping just yet, but I am well on the way, as this year two of my grandsons have requested money in wallets, which, whilst I don't really like giving money, I acknowledge that the super tat nana (AS THE BOYS SO ELOQUENTLY PUT IT) buys to just make up a pile of presents is loosing its shine somewhat. They would much prefer to have the cash and then hit the stores in January to buy something they really want. So, Hey Ho another era gone by.

So, that said, I think another reminder of how close the big man is and why you should start shopping like yesterday haha.

This week has been a funny old week to be fair.

On Monday I was really busy. First thing I drove Sarah's mini, which had been sitting on my drive for the last 3 months, up to Stockton to the Mini Garage, she followed to bring me home.

She had decided to part with the mini finally and Monday was the day. I have to say that having driven the mini for 30mins to the garage I am coming around to maybe swapping the Puma for one, a little down the road when my Puma is ready for a change.

Later in the afternoon on Monday, I had minor surgery at my GP surgery on a pesky mole that was right under my right boob and was always catching on the wires of my bra. So after a consultation, it was decided to vamoose it. Healing nicely it is now at the stage of being rather itchy.

Sadly on Tuesday Sarah and I attended the funeral of Eric, who was the granda of my daughter-in-law Nikki. It took place in Durham Crematorium, which was the first time I had been up there. Sad times to be sure.

Then on Thursday, I had my nails re-polished in time for the Halloween season. Just went for blood red this time, I was going to have cobwebs and skulls painted on them as well but decided against it.

My current diet is not that good, I honestly can't be bothered to think of and then buy the ingredients to make good interesting and nutritious meals. So a couple of weeks ago I decided that would give Mindful Chef a go. They provide all the ingredients recipes etc and all you do is open the bag and cook it. I have to say it is not cheap, but for every meal I have had over the past 2 weeks, I have split it in half and I now have a great collection building in my freezer. Here are some of the meals I have cooked over these last few weeks. Everything from duck, salmon, and chicken to Katsu Curry loaded fries. I have to say they are very tasty meals.

So a busy but bitty week all in all.
