I have to say that only in the British Isle can you have all the seasons in one day.
I woke this morning to a flooded garden that also had snow lying on the car and grass.
It was fairly cold out but the sun was shining.
Mid-morning the heavens opened and we had a deluge of rain just as the mother unit and I were arriving at the supermarket.
Later this afternoon more sunshine but tonight oh my dear, Storm Eunice has defo got her big pants on as the wind is howling and the gusts of wind are quite frightening. My poor fig tree, which is sporting a very fetching snowman frost cover at the moment, looks as though it might snap at any moment. I was going to go up to Aycliffe to visit Ben and the kids tonight as I haven't seen them for a while, but took one look at the weather and decided that it was safer to stay put tonight, so I will go up tomorrow afternoon.
I assume that you are all experiencing Storm Eunice in one form or another, just stay safe if you can. Laughably the roof felt on my garage roof has been up and down like tarts drawers these last few days. But it will have to wait until the storm subsidies before I make any attempt at reattaching the pile of felt that is building upon the floor next to the garage. My neighbour told me the other day that she had thrown a couple of large pieces in the bin as she didn't know where it had come from, to say I was a little annoyed was an understatement haha.
So defo not going out, so a bit of crating is in order and then I will settle down to watch TV. Bit of a boring blog today but I have nothing really to write about haha.
