Oh my days you might as well have cut off my arms yesterday. Why such drastic measures I hear you cry. Well, the bleep bleep broadband, therefore my contact with the world, went down again yesterday and was down all day this time.
I phone Virgin media, my provider, and was told that there was a problem and an engineer would be winging his way to my postcode and the fault would be mended by the 4th January. I was tempted to ask if he was coming from their Australian Offices.
I asked if I would be getting any compensation for not being able to use my rather expensive broadband package properly and was told that because I was not a business user and just a private dwelling I would receive nothing. As you can imagine I was so overjoyed at the on-point customer service NOT that when she asked me if she could help me with anything else, I let fly that since she had not helped me whatsoever today what was the point of her asking me that questions. Now you are probably thinking well, she is writing her blog, so the broadband must be working. The short answer to that it is very intermittent and I was able to get this window of connection to write the blog this morning.
This afternoon I will be taking the Mother Unit and my sister Sue up to see Ben and Nikki's new house, They have worked liked trojans since Christmas Day and are now officially in residence. I will take a few shots when I am up there this afternoon.
Two days ago when Lee was taking Dave for a walk the poor dog stood on some broken glass outside one of the bars in the town centre. He badly cut one of the pads on his front paw. After consultation with the vet Sarah bandaged up the paw and when I saw him last night he was weight-bearing again so all good. Leighton was full of his own importance yesterday as he was telling me that it was one of his socks mummy had to use to cover Daves paw.
Finally, my grandson Harry is an avid lego maestro. After his birthday he bought himself a very expensive lego set and has been sending me updated pictures over the last week. I think you can agree it is stunning. So well done to Harry.
